Après avoir démenti la nouvelle concernant la sanction de Krépin Diatta, la Fédération Sénégalaise de Football a confirmé ce soir l’information. Le milieu des Lions de la Teranga est sanctionné par la CAF pour ses déclarations après le match entre le Sénégal et la Côte d’Ivoire à la CAN 2023.
Il y a quelques jours, plusieurs sources non officielles ont informé de la décision de la CAF sur l’affaire Krépin Diatta. La Fédération Sénégalaise de Football a donc réagi le mercredi 14 février pour démentir les rumeurs. La FSF a d’abord confirmé que l’ailier sénégalais a « fait effectivement l’objet d’une procédure d’enquête disciplinaire ouverte par la CAF sur des propos d’accusation de corruption de la CAF ». Mais la faitière du football sénégalais avait infirmé la sanction évoquée par plusieurs médias quelques jours en début de cette semaine. Mais ce soir, la nouvelle est tombée. Krépin Diatta est sanctionné !
Krépin Diatta écope d’une lourde sanction de la CAF
Dans la soirée de ce jeudi 15 février, la Fédération Sénégalaise de Football a annoncé avoir reçu une notification de la CAF et a officiellement confirmé la sanction de Krépin Diatta. La CAF « suspend M. Krepin Diatta, joueur numéro 15 de l’équipe nationale du Sénégal pour 4 matches officiels avec l’équipe nationale A du Sénégal dont 2 avec sursis pour une durée d’un an ». Ce n’est pas tout ! Krépin Diatta écope également d’ « une amende de 10 mille dollars US (…) payable dans les 60 jours à compter de la notification ».
Pour rappel, Krépin Diatta est accusé d’avoir critiqué l’arbitrage du match Sénégal vs Côte d’Ivoire en 8es de finale de la CAN 2023. L’attaquant des Lions de la Teranga aurait été enregistré à son insu et hors interview en zone mixte au moment où il échangeait avec une tierce personne, accusant la CAF de corruption.
