Après cinq mois à la tête de la Fédération algérienne de football, le président Walid Sadi a procédé à une véritable purge au sein de cette instance et à tous les niveaux. Est-ce judicieux pour un président qui n’est là que pour terminer même pas la moitié d’un mandat ?
Drôle de main tendue à la famille du football !
Dans son allocution électorale, le jour-même de son élection le 21 septembre 2023, puis lors de ses premières sorties médiatiques, Walid Sadi n’avait cessé de répéter qu’il était venu en rassembleur et que sa main était tendue à toute la famille du football national. Cinq mois après ce discours mielleux, on peut dire qu’elle était drôlement tendue cette main puisque c’est plutôt à une véritable purge que la FAF de Sadi a procédé. Pas moins d’une quinzaine de têtes sont tombées les unes après les autres, dont certaines dans des circonstances qui posent aujourd’hui de réelles interrogations sur les raisons et la manière d’y procéder.
De Debichi à Bahloul, en passant par Medaouar, tout le monde trépasse
Si l’ex-président de la Fédération algérienne de football, Djahid Zefizef avait fait les frais d’un mauvais vote lors du Comex de la Confédération africaine de football, le 13 juillet dernier à Abidjan, l’obligeant à démissionner malgré ses 15 voix récoltées après une année seulement de présidence, la famille du football ne s’attendait pas à une telle ‘’hécatombe’’ qui n’a épargné aucune structure.
Sitôt élu, Walid Sadi avait déjà annoncé la couleur en débarquant le secrétaire général, Mounir Debichi, qui était déjà sur la sellette. Non seulement, il ne devait pas survivre à la nouvelle équipe fédérale, mais il paya cash sa ‘’rigidité’’ lors du traitement des dossiers des candidats à l’élection de la présidence de la FAF. Ensuite, c’était au tour de deux présidents de Ligues : Abdelkrim Medaouar, patron de la Ligue de football professionnel (LFP), depuis longtemps dans le collimateur, et Ali Malek, premier responsable de la Ligue nationale de football amateur (LNFA). Un troisième viendra s’ajouter, il s’agit d’Amar Bahloul, président de la Ligue de football régionale d’Annaba. Et ce ne sont pas les griefs qui manquaient : mauvaise gestion pour Medaouar, faute grave pour Malek et graves carences également en matière de gestion pour Bahloul.
La Direction technique nationale (DTN) n’est pas en reste puisque Mustapha Biskri et son adjoint Zohir Dkjelloul ainsi que Rachid Aït Mohamed, chef de département Elite et tout récemment Ameur Chafik, responsable de la formation, ont dû quitter leurs postes respectifs pour libérer la place à un désigné, venu du Ministère de la jeunesse et des sports, Ameur Mansoul, et à d’autres nouvelles têtes dont le … frère du président Sadi !
Que dire de l’arbitrage, dont les trois principaux responsables ont été eux aussi débarqués sans ménagement. Le vice-président de la Commission fédéral d’arbitrage (CFA), Djamel Haïmoudi avait préféré sauter le premier dès la désignation de Mehdi Abid-Charef, quant aux deux compétences, le Mauricien Lim Kee Chong, directeur de développement de l’arbitrage, et Abdelhak Etchiali, Directeur technique national et seul arbitre algérien qui a fait trois phases finales de Coupe du Monde (2014, 2018 et 2022), ont été évincés sans la moindre raison évidente. Même l’ancien arbitre international, instructeur des arbitres et consultant télé et son collègue Abderrazak Halalchi feront les frais de la furia de la fédération, qui les a congédiés de la Ligue de football d’Alger.
Maouche et Ouznali, deux cas à part, mais …
A tout ce beau monde, on pourra rajouter deux autres cas : Mohamed Maouche, membre des bureaux fédéraux des trois anciens présidents de la FAF, et qui devrait être reconduit es-qualité en tant que représentant de la glorieuse équipe du Front de Libération nationale (FLN), a été lâché car ayant choisi de le camp du candidat de la FAF déchu, Meziane Ighil ; et le Docteur et inspecteur vétérinaire Youcef Ouznali, directeur du Centre technique de Sidi Moussa, remplacé illico presto, dès l’arrivée de Sadi.
Néanmoins, Maouche, sera repêché, en faisant partie de la commission éphémère chargée de l’examen des candidatures au poste de sélectionneur national, et Ouznali, maintenu, lui, en tant que responsable de l’hygiène, contrôle et sécurité alimentaire des sélections nationales.
D’autres remaniements, non reconduction de contrats de travail et jeux de chaises musicales ont concerné plusieurs autres postes au sein de l’administration et démembrements de la fédération.
Djamel Belmadi, le scalp final
L’épée (Seïf) El-Hadjadj, qui n’épargna personne, sera là également pour décapiter celui, qui longtemps demeurait presqu’intouchable : Djamel Belmadi. Malgré les échecs de 2022 (élimination dès le premier tour de la CAN 2021 et surtout celle de la Coupe du Monde 2022), une adversité, voir dès fois de l’hostilité, le désormais ex-coach des Verts y a fait face. Tant qu’il avait le soutien des pouvoirs publics et celui des supporters et la reprise des bons résultats, Belmadi, sollicité à deux reprises pour poursuivre sa mission à la tête de l’équipe nationale, a réussi à qualifier haut la main la sélection pour la CAN 2023 en Côte d’Ivoire. Sauf qu’une troisième désillusion, n’était plus pardonnable pour Walid Sadi qui finira par avoir le scalp de Belmadi, malgré une vague de soutien populaire chez les supporters des Fennecs.
En conclusion, et parmi les questions récurrentes dans le débat autour des cinq mois de Walid Sadi à la tête de la FAF, les plus pertinentes sont sans doute : est-ce que tous ces acteurs évincés ont vraiment failli ou ont été incompétents ? Ceux qui les ont remplacés sont-ils aussi meilleurs et plus compétents ? Et fallait-il procéder à un tel remaniement pour une courte durée de fin de mandat, accentuant les méfaits d’une instabilité dans laquelle s’est installée l’instance fédérale depuis déjà trois ans ?
