La Côte d’Ivoire s’est relancé ce jeudi dans la course aux huitièmes de finale de la CAN 2023. Les Super Eagles ont battu les Éléphants de Côte d’Ivoire 1-0, au grand soulagement de Victor Osimhen.
Après son nul 1-1 contre la Guinée Équatoriale, le Nigeria devait s’imposer ce jeudi face à la Côte d’Ivoire pour se repositionner dans le groupe A de la CAN 2023. Mission accomplie pour les Super Eagles qui sont venus à bout des Éléphants 1-0. L’unique but de la rencontre a été marqué par William Troost-Ekong, sur penalty. Suffisant pour revenir à hauteur des Ivoiriens dans le groupe.
En conférence de presse, Victor Osimhen s’est dit satisfait et content de ce succès de son équipe. « Pour moi c’était très important de garder le même état d’esprit et la même mentalité afin de bien jouer contre la Côte d’Ivoire avec aussi la confiance et je suis content pour cette victoire », a confié celui qui est élu homme du match.
