Si la parole est d’argent, le silence est d’or, dit le proverbe
Au lendemain d’une élimination sans gloire lors de la dernière CAN 2023 en Côte d’Ivoire, et après les déclarations d’usage aux médias après le match contre la Mauritanie, le sélectionneur national de l’équipe d’Algérie s’est muré dans un véritable silence, faisant de ce choix une posture en or, évitant de faire le moindre commentaire qui aurait suscité d’autres débats et controverses, voir des polémiques stériles, surtout en prévision d’un contentieux qui se profile à l’horizon avec l’instance fédérale. Cette attitude de Djamel Belmadi n’a pas pour autant empêché les médias de tout bord et autres youtubeurs de surfer sur la manière de communiquer de la fédération et de spéculer sur supposées les intentions du coach des Verts, passant d’une extrême à une autre. Tantôt, Belmadi a exigé tous ses arriérés de salaires, tantôt il s’est arrangé avec Sadi en acceptant l’offre de la FAF. En réalité, il n’en est rien de tout cela.

Pour ceux qui doutent toujours de la véracité du divorce entre Belmadi et la FAF, Africa Foot United apporte la confirmation sur la rupture de la relation de travail entre les deux parties. Dans un premier temps, la FAF avait proposé une sorte de résiliation unilatérale à ‘’l’amiable’’, une démarche peu convaincante et jugé plutôt inélégante de la part de Belmadi qui ; lui, a décidé de se défendre et d’aller jusqu’au bout pour recouvrer ses droits, moraux et contractuels. Selon nos mêmes sources, l’ancien entraîneur des Verts devra réagir par rapport à tout ce qui s’est passé ces derniers mois et surtout les péripéties qui ont entouré la dernière CAN, et ce, dès l’officialisation par la FAF d’un nouveau sélectionneur. L’opinion publique a droit à une communication de la part de celui qui a préféré prendre le temps de réflexion et suffisamment de recul pour dire toute la vérité.

Pour tous ceux qui l’ont croisé à Doha, là où il réside avec sa petite famille, Djamel Belmadi est apparu plutôt détendu après avoir récupéré de ses émotions, sans pour autant digérer cette élimination dès le premier tour de la CAN en Côte d’Ivoire. Depuis qu’il a embrassé la fonction d’entraîneur, Belmadi, eut à surmonter beaucoup d’obstacles et de situations difficiles, mais cette fois le soutien et l’élan de solidarité des supporters des Verts et du peuple algérien l’ont vraiment requinqué. Même toutes ces personnes favorables à son départ, n’ont pas accepté la manière peu chevaleresque avec laquelle la FAF et son président ont agi envers celui, qu’on le veuille ou non, a écrit une des plus belles pages du football algérien et offert la deuxième étoile africaine au pays. C’est devenu une question de principe, si on puisse le qualifier ainsi.
Déjà des offres sur ses tablettes
Bien qu’il soit trop tôt pour affirmer quoi que ce soit, il est plus que certain que Djamel Belmadi ne chômera pas au-delà de la fin de l’actuelle saison. Des sélections et des clubs seraient d’ores et déjà sur ses tablettes. Malgré les échecs essuyés avec les Fennecs (en 2022 et 2024), la côte du technicien algérien est restée pratiquement intacte. Déjà, l’année dernière, en juin plus exactement, le club saoudien d’Al-Ahli, là où évolue actuellement Ryad Mahrez, avait tenté une approche mirobolante, mais Belmadi avait signifié à ses interlocuteurs son engagement avec la sélection de son pays et son projet de qualifier son équipe au prochain Mondial 2026. Ne préjugeons de rien, mais ce rêve semble bien s’éloigner, comme s’est envolé celui de 2022 pour le Mondial Qatari. C’est la vie d’un entraîneur. Belmadi trouvera certainement chaussure à son pied pour poursuivre inéluctablement sa carrière sous d’autres cieux, avec cette même verve et cette ambition de gagner toujours des titres.
