Il venait aussi d’inscrire le 100e but de cette 34e édition de la compétition. Pour rappel, le dernier but des Éléphants dans cette CAN remonte au 13 janvier 2024, lors de la victoire 2-0 contre la Guinée-Bissau en phase de groupes.
Les Éléphants n’ont pas marqué lors des deux matchs suivants en phase de groupes, contre le Nigeria (défaite 0-1) et contre la Guinée Équatoriale (défaite 0-4). En quarts de finale, ils affronteront le vainqueur du duel entre le Mali et le Burkina Faso, qui se dispute ce mardi 30 janvier.
