Dans moins de deux semaines, le coup d’envoi de la CAN 2023 sera donné en Côte d’Ivoire. Dans la tanière des différentes sélections, c’est la veillée d’armes. Occasion choisie par Issiaga Sylla pour se prononcer sur son rôle dans le vestiaire de la Guinée.
Issiaga veut se mettre au service de la jeunesse
Issiaga Sylla fait partie des leaders du groupe de la Guinée. En Côte d’Ivoire, il va disputer sa 4e CAN. Le défenseur de Montpellier fait office de vice-capitaine de l’équipe. Mais au-delà, il a un rôle spécial à jouer au cours de la compétition.
«Mon rôle au sein du vestiaire consiste à intégrer les jeunes joueurs, en leur apportant mon expérience afin de les aider à se sentir le mieux possible avant et pendant la compétition», a fait savoir Issiaga Sylla. Après avoir été éliminé en huitièmes de finale lors de la précédente édition, le Syli National compte mieux faire en Côte d’Ivoire.
L’équipe de la Guinée séjourne actuellement à Abu Dhabi pour son stage. Elle est logée dans le groupe C en compagnie du Cameroun, du Sénégal et de la Gambie.
