Au fil des années, l’ancien directeur technique national de la fédération algérienne de football, Ameur Chafik, est devenu un expert de haut rang dans l’échiquier technique de la Confédération africaine de football.
Sa participation à la dernière CAN en Côte d’Ivoire en qualité d’instructeur Elite en est la parfaite illustration.
Parmi les meilleurs instructeurs du continent
Doucement, mais sûrement. C’est le credo de ce technicien natif de la ville de Batna, l’une des villes-bastions de la révolution algérienne. Lui, c’est Ameur Chafik qui a passé tous les échelons dans le football, de joueur jusqu’à devenir Directeur technique national sous l’ère de Kheireddine Zetchi où il avait remplacé Rabah Saâdane en octobre 2019.
Ameur Chafik occupera ce poste jusqu’à la fin février 2022 lorsque, pour des raisons toujours inconnues, le président Amara Charaf-eddine avait décidé de se séparer de ses précieux services et désigner Taoufik Korichi qui assurera un énième intérim jusqu’à décembre de la même année. Malgré cette parenthèse, Ameur Chafik poursuivra ses activités au sein de la Direction technique régionale de Batna, mais aussi et surtout en qualité d’instructeur Elite CAF au niveau de l’instance continentale.
Reconnu pour ses compétences et son sérieux, il est souvent sollicité pour encadrer des cours de formation, comme ce fut le cas en décembre 2022 lorsqu’il a été dépêché par la CAF à Moroni, aux Comores, pour assurer des cours à 13 nouveaux instructeurs.
Nul n’est prophète en son pays …
Cadre émérite au sein de la CAF, Ameur Chafik ne l’est apparemment pas dans son propre pays puisque la fédération algérienne de football n’a pas daigné reconduire son contrat de responsable de la formation au-delà du 31 décembre dernier. C’est sur décision de l’actuel directeur technique national et transfuge du ministère de la jeunesse et des sports, Ameur Mansoul, et avec l’assentiment du président Sadi qu’il a été signifié la non-reconduction de ce cadre algérien.
Comme du temps de Charaf-eddine Amara, personne ne sait les raisons d’une telle mise à l’écart, et encore moins l’intéressé. Des ‘’forces’’ ont travaillé à l’ombre pour empêcher Ameur Chafik de poursuivre son travail au sein de la structure technique de la fédération, lui qui, faut-il le souligner, avait été réhabilité par l’ex-DTN Mustapha Biskri.
Le CAF Pro en Algérie, c’est lui
Durant le court mandat de Djahid Zefizef (juillet 2022 à juillet 2023), plusieurs dossiers ont connu des avancées notables, parmi lesquels celui de la formation pour l’obtention de la licence CAF Pro. Profitant d’un rapprochement avec la CAF, notamment à l’occasion de la tenue du CHAN 2022 et de la CAN U17 et de trois réunions du Comex de l’instance du football continental, Zefizef avait plaidé ce dossier sur lequel Ameur Chafik avait travaillé durant plusieurs mois avec Raul Chpenda, le patron de la structure technique de la CAF.
Malgré le départ de Zefizef, l’année 2023 a été déterminante puisque le dossier de la Licence CAF Pro a connu son aboutissement avec l’organisation du premier module de cette formation le mois de décembre dernier à l’hôtel Aurassi d’Alger en présence de 25 candidats ayant répondu aux conditions d’éligibilité, même si des doutes pèsent sur certains d’entre eux. L’histoire retiendra qu’Ameur Chafik a été l’artisan principal pour avoir travaillé activement sur ce dossier afin de faire profiter l’Algérie de ce cursus, nouvellement introduit par la CAF, au même titre que la Tunisie et le Maroc.
Ce dernier pays avait démarré le premier module en présence de plusieurs techniciens, dont Malouche, Raul, Sockeng, Cissé, Regragui et autre Pitso.
