Rigobert Song a communiqué la liste des joueurs Camerounais qui participeront à la CAN 2023 le jeudi dernier. Le sélectionneur du Cameroun a convoqué François Régis Mughe afin de participer au tournoi qui se déroulera en Côte d’Ivoire. La première délégation camerounaise est déjà en Arabie Saoudite pour les préparatifs de la CAN 2023. Les autres joueurs sont attendus dans les prochains jours pour permettre à Rigobert Song d’avoir son groupe au complet pour la préparation. Cependant, François Régis Mughe pourrait bien manquer le rassemblement du Cameroun.

En effet, l’attaquant de 19 ans souhaiterait que son nom soit retiré de la liste définitive qui devrait parvenir à la CAF le 03 janvier 2024. François Régis Mughe voudrait profiter des absences à l’Olympique de Marseille à cause de la CAN 2023 pour avoir un rôle de titulaire. Les parties n’ont pas encore trouvé de terrain d’entente dans ce dossier. François Régis Mughe compterait bien sur la compréhension des parties impliquées pour ne pas créer de divorce.
Les sanctions prévues en cas de rejet d’une convocation sans consensus
Selon les Article 5 et 6 de l’Annexe 1 du Règlement du statut et du transfert des joueurs de la FIFA, on peut lire : « Un joueur convoqué dans l’une des équipes représentatives de son association (fédération, ndlr) n’a pas le droit, sauf accord contraire avec ladite association, de jouer pour le compte du club auquel il est enregistré le temps que dure ou aurait durer sa mise à disposition conformément à la présente annexe, plus cinq jours supplémentaires. Toute violation des dispositions de la présente annexe entraîne des sanctions disciplinaires qui seront imposées par la Commission de Discipline de la FIFA sur la base du Code disciplinaire de la FIFA ».
Si François Régis Mughe ne réussit pas à trouver d’accord avec le Cameroun et manque le rassemblement, il pourrait être sanctionné. Reste à savoir si son nom sera retiré de la liste définitive comme il aurait demandé.
